Who We Are
We strive to provide access to Afro-Brazilian cultural arts education through capoeira, dance, music, and cultural programming, while creating opportunities for the next generation through need-based youth scholarships.
Our Vision
A community where capoeira and other Afro-Brazilian cultural arts are accessible to all, fostering cultural education, community engagement, and opportunities for the next generations.
Brazilian Cultural Arts Education
Programs may include workshops led by educators and artists from Brazil and around the world, cultural presentations, music and dance experiences, and educational theater productions that explore the history, traditions, and cultural significance of capoeira and Afro-Brazilian heritage.Through these experiences, participants of all ages are invited to learn, engage, and build meaningful connections with Afro-Brazilian cultural traditions while strengthening community through education and the arts.
Youth Capoeira Scholarship
The program provides need-based scholarships that give youth the opportunity to participate in a three-month capoeira program taught by Quilombolas de Luz Capoeira.
